Find out all the tips about where to go and volunteer as a veterinary assistant and nurse.<\/h3>\n<p>Do you love to travel? Is your dream to be able to travel the world and help animals? get to know different cultures and broaden your views?<\/p>\n<p>Volunteering with animals, whether abroad or in your home country, has many positive sides such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>meet many other animal lovers like you,<\/li>\n<li>learn new languages \u200b\u200band get to know new cultures,&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>come into contact with exotic or wild animals,<\/li>\n<li>improve your veterinary nurse skills,<\/li>\n<li>connect with nature,<\/li>\n<li>travel alone,<\/li>\n<li>directly help animals that suffer or not protected,<\/li>\n<li>many others &#8230;: write in the comments why you chose to volunteer with animals. ?\u2764<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In this article, I tried to group together some volunteer experiences to be done both in Italy and abroad.<\/p>\n<p>If you have volunteered with animals around the world and want to share your experience with Assistente.vet write an email to erica.assistenzavet@gmail.com.<\/p>\n<p>I will be happy to share your experience with many other animal lovers like you and me.<\/p>\n<p>\u2764<\/p>\n<p>Also read&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/assistenteveterinario.com\/a-sustainable-veterinary-practice\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A sustainable veterinary practice<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>There are a few things to know and consider before leaving to volunteer as a veterinary nurse or assistant.<br \/>\nLet&#8217;s see them together:<\/h3>\n<p>1. <strong>Requirements<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>Requirement number one: love animals. But also love to travel, have an open mind.<br \/>\nAbove all, don&#8217;t be afraid to get your hands dirty.<\/p>\n<p>2. <strong>Description of the volunteer work:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Volunteer as a veterinary staff or as a helper?<\/p>\n<p>Do your research and decide immediately what kind of experience you want to have.<\/p>\n<p>There are organizations that volunteer with animals that are open to all people willing to help animals in need and willing to do different types of work.<\/p>\n<p>You can do photography, admin, management.. You can do whatever you want. You just have to decide where you want to help.<\/p>\n<p>Others, however, volunteer for veterinarians or veterinary nurses. So they also require qualification. This brings us to point 3.<\/p>\n<p>3.<strong> Know your duties.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Whether it&#8217;s a specialized experience (eg role as a vet nurse or vet surgeon) or not, make sure you know what the requirements are but also what your duties will be.<\/p>\n<p>You don&#8217;t want to know everything, but you don&#8217;t want to find yourself speechless either.<\/p>\n<p>4. <strong>Budget<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>Flight, visa and other transport are often not included. In addition, you must also think about health insurance.&nbsp;<br \/>\nMany organizations offer accommodation and meals.
