What did you read last spring?
Given the success of the previous article, I thought I’d share some spring readings that I’d like to start soon.
I find the time I spend reading extremely recreational.
I’ve always been lazy from that point of view, and during my studies, it’s hard to start reading after spending all day in front of books and computers.
Instead, it is much more relaxing than watching a TV series on-demand or scrolling unsatisfied the notice boards of social networks.
So I recommend everyone to rediscover this hobby by finding the topic you are most passionate about.

Therefore, I decided to make a list of the books to which I would like to dedicate my spring readings.
There is no particular order or ranking. Here are my spring readings.
Enjoy the reading.

The Emotional Load: And Other Invisible Stuff
Emma
An ever-present topic, which has been brought to light by the many hours spent at home due to the lock-down and which have put a lot of cohabitation to the test.
The emotional load to which mothers and women, in general, are subjected is an invisible weight that oppresses them and of which too many partners are unaware.
This reading could help many people to talk about the stress they feel and to which until now they have not been able to give voice. It may also help to make it clear that we are all the same and that there is no way to feel diminished when we realize we have these feelings.

The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Lasts
Gary Chapman
I have known The 5 languages of love for a long time but have recently realized how important they are in a relationship, and how much ignorance there is on this topic.
To read. And take the online test (to be done by your partner of course)
Read: A day in the life of a veterinary nurse

The Happiness Project
Gretchen Rubin
“The days are long, but the years are short”
This is the sentence that has most impressed me when approaching this book, from which many food for thought can be drawn.
First of all, the one from which Gretchen also starts: is it permissible to have everything .. and not be happy yet? and want more?
Of course yes.

Cooked: A Natural History of Transformation
Michael Pollan
I admit to being a fan of Michael but this is one of the books to read if you are interested in everything that is behind our eating habits now .. processed.
Cooked is also a great TV series on Netflix.

Animali che si drogano (italian)
Giorgio Samorini
I find this subject extremely interesting. Animals not only cure themselves but also take drugs and engage in behaviours that we often associate intelligence and supremacy (whom?) Of men.

Eat Like the Animals: What Nature Teaches Us About Healthy Eating
David Raubenheimer, Steven J. Simpson
Similar to the previous one .. This book introduces the topic starting from the feeding of animals and then arriving at the similarities with ours.
It also focuses on appetite control, which seems to have gone haywire during our modern evolution.
